Hello, I am going to be traveling to Sun Lakes this weekend for vacation. I was hoping to do some fishing while I am there. Most of the lakes seem to be too warm to fish. Any thoughts on anything that I might be able to hit up while I am there? I have fished Rocky Ford several times and to me I think it is somewhat boring. Lake Lenore is close by. Would I be better off leaving the fly rod and float tube at home and just drink beers and soak up rays?

fish Park or Blue lake at night, big buggers or Leeches you may get surprised.

I would agree that they are too warm for trouts but ya got other options over there - carp? Stop by Darc's shop in Ephrata, Desert Fly. Buy a few flies / gear and see what info he can provide.

If you've got something to float in . . .drive up the east side of Banks lake and pick a bay to fish for bass, perch, crappie, carp, etc.
