I made the mirror and built a 8 inch telescope when I was fourteen.One thing though-assuming we aren't under some serious cloud cover-is to use a moon filter on your scopes. I used to have an 8-inch scope which I decided to test out on the full moon right after I unboxed the thing. But not being used to the upside down backwards movement, I made the mistake of going from dark night sky to full moon in one quick motion. that was the end of my night vision for about a week..........![]()
