Those tuna prices happen a very few times a year, for bragging rights, and the buyers lose massive money per serving ($100). It's not likely to have much to do with salmon.It's possible Chinook may become much like the Bluefin Tuna market. This one, sold at auction, set the record at $736,000. Anyone know how many sushi rolls a 593 lb. fish yields?

We can hope that's the case, but the with salmon stocks declining, not a certainty. Yes, each year they have these mega-bid's on Bluefin's.
