Again a great story. Your mention of a bolder garden on a river brought up a spot on the S/F of the Stilly. Just up river from the first bridge over the river above Granite Falls on the Mountain Loop Hiway.
Like Dustin Bise, I too wait until I can really kick back and savior your latest story, Boot. So, having just finished reading this one, I can only say thanks not only for the great read but also for the honest tribute to our service men and women.
New to the forum and was pleasantly surprized by this great read. Not 'like', but reminded me of Cormac McCarthy in structure, poetry and intensity. Thanks for posting this.
