I went out the other day to do a little shooting with my new 223.

The place I was going to has steel staged all over the hillside. The road was real soupy. But... at the top of the hill the snow drifts were so bad, that I had to park a little over a
mile from my destination. The walk in was slow go breaking through snow knee deep.

I finally made it in and had a fun time shooting steel out to 700 yards with 52gr Amax's! You sure have to hold a lot more wind than a 6.5!

Then I had to walk back out.....

700 yards with a .223. You're a lot better shot than I am. That's a ways for .223, not sure I would hit steel with zero wind.

Sure you would, it just takes a little practice. Shooting off barricades can be tough!
