Well, after being thoroughly rebuked over what I honestly thought was a "fishing-rights-issue" (instead of a politically inspired one), I discovered the earlier thread on the same intial subject matter started on 3-09-10 and closed by Chris on 3-10-10 and saw firsthand the inevitable decline into the morass of political opinion. This could be what happens when one fails to read every thread - in every post - every day I guess and may serve as another note of caution in the posting of "politically hysterical" subject matter.

As I was reading the original article, my focus was on the stated elements of the threats to sportfishing (us) and not on the political implications & accusations therein...my bad. I also note that it becomes increasingly difficult to seperate fact from fiction in this new age of insidious information overload, misinformation & spin imparted to everything we see and hear.

I promise to be more careful and thanks for your indulgence.

It is hard enough to separate fact from fiction on this fly fishing forum, because we are fishers, so we lie or stretch the truth.
Let me make an example.
I caught some 20" browns in X creek just off X road mile marked X.
There would be 200 fishers there in a few hours to prove me right or wrong.
As for politicians, they lie and all the other politicians will swear to it.
Ya gotta love the internet. Tight lines newbie

Just need to be a bit more insightful in my reading....new glasses ya know, ha!

Other than back problems flaring up again and radical changes in employment - okay.

Good to hear from you, Karl and hope all is well with you.

Regards,

Jc

No worries. I shoot my proverbial mouth off here time to time. :beathead: You made (in my opinion) an honest mistake. Most of these guys, self included, like to rib others and get ribbed. But even if you did peeve anyone off, our memories are short. I just had several guys chime in and help me get my rod apart!

For what it's worth, thanx for posting "This is what happens when..." :thumb:
