I drove down from Kent to Olympia to meet Roger Stephens for a day on the south Sound. He fished his topwater fly and I fished mine. Nothing large but a lot of willing participants. One fantastic spot he showed me fished as if it were Cutthroat Condos - everyone was home.

A fantastic day with a great flyfisher! Thanks, Roger.

Leland:

It was enjoyable to fish with another top water "addict"! We'll have to do it again when the top water action really starts to heat up by early July.

Your pattern sure makes a nice v-wake. My pattern has a very slight gurgle. I am going to re-cut the foam head to eliminate the gurgle and only have the v-wake. IMHO a good v-wake is important for a top water pattern to be effective.

Cool. You guys should take up the Ukulele and start a band, playing songs about Cutthroat fishing. A new genre of folk music would be born....
"Eelgrass Music!"
Of course you would have to call yourselves, "The Topwater Boys."

Ceviche, where are you? I think you guys are gonna have to form a band!
