Being new to this site I just want to say thanks to everyone for the great information. I spend a lot of time reading this when I should actually be working.
I am hoping to get some fishing in before thanksgiving tomorrow morning and was wondering if anyone had any insights to Juanita Bay or Totem Lake this time of year? I just want to hit the water for a few hours before the family comes over...hopefully it will keep me sane!!!

Thanks!!

Thanks guys!!
I haven't tried bass to a fly yet but I was hoping to get into it since it sounds they have some fight to them. I'll give it a shot and see what happens
I started fly fishing last winter for something to do between hunting season and the pink run in the summer...Ive been hooked and have no desire to go back to spinning gear

yeah its still there. The last post I read was from back in 2006 and didn't know if anything changed. There is a small dock there that can be fished off. Sounds like it may not be too productive though.

eric, I've fished Totem Lake this past summer and unfortunately, it definitely won't be a very productive area. the lake has a decent population of small largemouth bass, none that I've caught over 1lb, mostly 10" or so. As for crappie, I haven't crappie out there but theres some bluegill and pumpkinseed but all small.

Well...you guys were right. It was all casting practice. I ended up at Juanita fishing dock due to limited time. NO luck on the popper. I got a small bite on a olive wolly bugger but that was it.
Probably hit up beaver lake this weekend and give the popper and the mouse fly a try
