I won a new North Fork casting rod and would like to trade it for a fly rod or reel or maybe a pontoon boat of comparable value. I'll probably get killed on this site for trying to hawk a bait chucking rod, but thought it might be worth a try.

Yeah, would be nice to know the fine specs on it. That line rating and length is pretty big. I may have a rod/reel combo that may interest you.

The rod is a SSP828-1(1M) it is 8' 2" and is rated for 10-20lb line. I have seen on line where they retail for $294, so a fly rod or reel of equal value. I would also be interested in a pair of waders.

This blank will cost a lot to ship and Jerry is closer to you, so.... Sounds like a great rod for throwing spinners/spoons

with that, what size waders you looking for? "Big John" sounds like XL at minimum haha

Jake, it's a plug rod, designed for trolling kwikfish, coyotes or diver and bait. Unless you've pulled the trigger on a boat, it's not likely the next stick you need!

Big John, that rod was a donation, and not available anywhere else at any price. You either got it at a CCA event or the Fish First Auction. If you aren't likely to use it, we'd like it back and we'll trade it for a G.Loomis reel or fly rod from Gary's collection. Gary is looking to unload a bunch of his old G.Loomis equipment.

Call the plant to arrange a trade. Ask for Peter, he has the current inventory of Gary's stuff.

Thanks for the information Jon. I am a fly fisherman and do not have any use for a plug rod. I would prefer to give it back in a trade for a fly rod or reel that I could use. Thank you for responding.
