For my first trip of the season, fought through whiteout snow at the Pass to fish KOA to Ringer with Troutwater…..Predicted howling wind never showed up and we had a great day of steady nymphing action (Rainbows & Beefy Whities) with #6 Pat’s Stones in a variety of colors and a #14 “Spanish Bullet” dropper….Caught my “Career Best“ (28 years) Rainbow on the Yak just after lunch. Guide: 23”…..No Skwalas seen all day and no bugs/risers.….Have a feeling this will be a good year on the Yak!
