While unemployed last year I worked with NOSC(North Olympic Salmon Coalition) on a couple of projects. Fun group and they seem to always have something going on.

I regularly volunteer for the Bellevue Stream Team. I've helped with salmon watchers, stream restoration, electrofishing fish counts, hatchery pond fish herding, etc. It's a very rewarding experience. I suggest you check out your local city's utilities or environmental department
