Interesting as you said. But what can be used to recharge a trolling motor battery in the boonies, other than a generator? Staying on the lake for a few days can sap your batteries fairly quick.

One advantage of a small wind turbine is that you maycontinue to generate power at night. Solar, not so much (unless there are lunar panels...). The combination would have your bases covered.
