In case you missed the latest since our leftist national news is barely coving it. All your hero environmentalists left a massive mess that WILL be contaminating my water. I was correct all along this whole thing for most was nothing but another reason to riot justified with a fake cause. If the environment was so important they should all be coming back in masses to help clean up. Where is Dave Matthews now to raise funds for the cleanup so the water isn't contaminated with a massive amount of sewage and garbage? Where is Mark Ruffalo? Maybe Leonardo Decaprio will talk about it. Nope this doesn't fit the agenda.

Yeah, people can be glory-hog assholes. On the left and the right. It has been ever thus. Somebody has to clean up the mess in ND. Someone had to clean up after the mess from Bundy's Malheur occupation (cost $4 million). Where were all the no-federal-lands people when that was all over?

Getting caught up in this sort of "see, THOSE people are terrible so I'm doing anything that is against THOSE people" is how politicians and big business divide us and steal from us while we're distracted. Yeah, this sucks. But it doesn't change the fact that anyone who cares about public lands and environmental protections for our outdoor spaces needs to be donating and volunteering to try and stop the biggest threats to hunting and fishing and hiking and camping that have been seen in generations. Coal tailing in streams and rivers, selling off and eliminating access to public lands, new mines being permitted and old forests cut down.

Anyone who cares about the outdoors must fight to not get sucked into the left vs right BS and instead find common ground on specific issues with those who might not agree with you on every issue. It is the only way our children and grandchildren will be able to enjoy the things we find so valuable.

I guess the "you pack it in, you pack it out" signs didn't work. That is a sad scene and doubly bad given that those who advertise themselves as the planets stewards are responsible.

More news from the Res. The whole DAPL protest is an example of the BS that lead to Trump winning. People all over the country are sick of it. Trump has every right to bash the media. It's only news to them when the propaganda can push a cause to advance the left.

The last time I looked the biggest media corporate conglomerates were all Right Winged backed and owned. "Liberal Media" is, in reality, an oxymoron. I will agree that MSNBC and other similar "so-called" left-leaning media outlets gave Trump a bundle of free advertising.

It's funny, many say they are tired of the status quo, paid for career politician/puppets running corrupted institutions. But when we finally get to the point of breaking out of this repeat cycle, all that talk was just that. Naturally the media is going to (is) screaming bloody murder - they've become part of the institution in need of change.

Typically while ignoring that most of us libtards are actually just as upset about the mess as he is, and just as disgusted with the media. It's almost like you can't paint people or "groups" with a black and white, easily definable brush.

BTW, "leftists" don't like Hillary either. The DNC had to cheat the primary to get her to win. Our guy got shafted. Hillary is not a "leftist," she just carries the branding.

To be fair, much of that garbage were tents, sleeping bags, and belongings. They weren't left behind on purpose. Many protesters were forced out in raids, with only what they were wearing, leaving whole camps behind full of belongings, which were then bulldozed into one big pile.

100% Lie. The police never went into the camp. They only kicked people off private property not Corp land along the water where the camp was. And it's much more than sleeping bags and tents. It's plywood buildings, sewage, cars, garbage. Spend a moment and read the links I added above.

I did read the links you provided. They're one side of the story. I've heard Morton County officials are greatly exaggerating the situation. Not sure which one of us is the one being duped. The tribe pledged six million to clean up. That should easily cover the cost, especially with hundreds of volunteers still there.

By you heard, you actually are saying you read some bullshit from a website one time, from a guy who heard about it from a friend, and his friend wrote about it from California. 6 million will not cover the cleanup. What about the 33million my state has spent? I've had a front seat. My friend is a sheriff caught in this since the beginning. The mess is not exaggerated. He has pictures I've looked at. I do respect the tribe for contributing the funds they were given to help the cleanup effort. The tribe members are part of the cleanup. Notice in your pictures how it's the tribe members along with state contractors cleaning this up. The tribe actually voted to kick who was left at the camp out months ago. This got big and out of hand quickly, the tribe lost control. What happened to all the out of state people that made the mess. Well, they went home and screwed the tribe because now the tribe is left with it. The tribe and State are on mending terms. It's the aholes from out of state that keep adding gas to the fire. My grudge against the media not following up on what the riots did is what pisses me off now. The real environmental disaster is happening right now not a .00001% chance 50 years from now.

I know several people who are there now, but nice assumption with California thing, smart guy. Morton County has been lying and exaggerating everything from the beginning. Now their new bullshit claim is they are looking for bodies in the garbage piles. Pure sensationalism and hyperbole.
