I'm planning to go fishing tomorrow. partly because my wife will be away and partly because I think I have a job (finally) and I can think of no better way to celebrate than by standing in a river, waving a stick. I live in Sammamish, so I have some flexibility on where to go.

First thought is the Sauk - get there before it closes, I have some familiarity up there, but don't know the river that well.
Second thought is the Yakima - dependable and reliable.
Third thought is south, which is something I never do, so I don't know the rivers or the access

I have fished the Yak in Feb several times over the past 10 years.

It fished surprisingly well from the bank.

I remember doing well in the lower canyon right at dusk.

I felt sorry for the guys in the drift boats freezing.

The hike to the water kept me comfortable.
