I got a recently Echo catalog and saw a nice 10' 4 wt. and 5 wt. switch that would be killer for beach fishing. The price seemed right too... I'd give that a whirl.
If you're ok with overseas mfgr's, The Fly Shop's (Redding) brand (Targus?) has a 4 and 5 Chezch Nymph 10' in their new catalog. Comes with an extra tip @ about $295, I believe. Call Tim Fox, he'll tell you the skinny, real straight shooter!
One option: Jensen Argon 10' 4 wt rare this side of the pond, sweet series
Was going to post this springtime locally but saw your WTB. I've got a 10' 4wt Jensen Argon (typically famous for their niche lightweight rods of excellent action and quality in Eur.). Same factory makes them as does the high end Scierra's (factory was v. well reviewed in an American Fly Fishing magazine about one year ago). I have these in 2wt thru 4, ace casting friend giggles each time he plays with them.
