Seems like nearly all "baby" backpacks have been recalled over the last few years. All three of my boys survived a Kelty. They'll be able to tell stories like I do about seatbelts... "back in the day my dad hauled us over mountains in a babypack. Why the can't we use 'em?".

Not an issue with this particular pack if Luke threads the buckle properly, and for his daddy-daughter time I'm sure he will.

Hauled my daughter all over in one and never thought there was a safety issue. She absolutely loved it.

I just picked up the Kelty Baby pack for a great price off Craigslist. Our 5 month old is a bit too small for it, but we'll be putting it to good use once hes older. I like the rainfly/fly hook protector as well.
