I have a loop Blue line 11'6" 8wt 4pc rod. Its a great rod, in great shape. $225 - $250 depending on whether I have a tube for it or not.. have to check on that.

eric, which one would you compare a loop to ? a meiser, muelah, burkheimer, tfo, sage, echo, thomas & thomas. how old is the rod? any pics? thanks barry

Hmm.. tough to draw direct comparisions - it has a faster, euro action as compared to the standard skagit type TFO Deer Creek/Beulah switch rods.

They say skagit 450. I've only cast scandi style on it with a little lighter head.

scroll down and you'll find it, with a brief description of the action, a picture of what the rod looks like, and a price of 422 euros - yikes! Granted, that was retail a couple years back..

I'm not sure if I'll get around to taking pictures before I leave for Montana Monday morning, so it may be a week or so before I can get those posted and/or ship the rod. If you are in a hurry you might want to look elsewhere.

hello barry the wind warrior rod is on fast side of things I too like a slower rod I really like skagit method or Sustained anchor casting which slower rods seem to feel better you can always add more grain weight to slow down. I have the rod up on ebay here is the link also check out the Amundson website too.

The Amundson rod is fine with a skagit line , but , you really want to apply most of the power with your bottom hand .

It rocks with compact scandi lines though , and is better suited to this type of line .
