I drove along the Yakima today and it looked GREAT! There were plenty of people out throwing flies..watched one of them bring in a nice sized trout. Heading up there to fish next Sunday for the first time.

I think that I am going to go out there tomorrow. Which section of the river did you see? Two weeks ago I went out by Cle Elum and did OK, but I think I am going to go to the canyon tomorrow.

I was in the Canyon this sunday below reds (I believe thats the flyshop/campground).. There were tons of folks lined up all the way down...

around 3pm where I was at, the river exploded.. There were fish of all sizes coming up and feeding.. I didn't see much in the way of bugs so not sure what they were eating.. I did catch two on a size 16 orange Stimi... but that was it... At about 3:45 it just died.. so I am not sure what they were feeding on but it didn't last to long..

I drove through the canyon around 1PM and then continued on the back road between Elensburg and Cle Elem..we stopped a number of times..there were tons of people on the Canyon Road and only a few on the other streach..sure wish I had my rod with me
