Another variation on the Quigley; none are too challenging, all can be effective. Tied here as a PMD; change color/size to suit your needs.

hook - Dai Riki 320 #16
thread - Danville 6/0 pale yellow
rib - x-small wire copper
abdomen - pheasant tail
shuck/shellback - Zelon brown
thorax - dubbing pale yellow
wing - deer hair bleached
hackle - ginger

mash barb, start thread; tie in rib, wrap to point above barb

tie in PT, wrap to 2/3 mark; tie off/trim

tie in Zelon

pull to rear, capture with rib, continue forward, helicopter end, cover with thread; trim shuck (gap width past bend)

dub thread/dub thorax

clean, stack, measure (shank length) a clump of deer hair; tie in, flare butts against thorax

tie in hackle; wrap to eye, tie off/trim, take a few wraps in front of wing to prop it up

half hitch x 2, SHHAN, trim wing butts even with rear of thorax

Regards,
Scott
