I have heard you can use medical syringes and fill them up with a really thin needle

 

the old (used) cartidges can be refilled if you are lucky, maybe once, you will get ink on your hands, your counter tops, sink, what have you. I tried that half dozen times, before I got tired of it. In my opinion, the best bet is to buy the remanufactured carteridges.:hmmm:

 

Ps. Have you looked into a lazer printer, you can buy a used one on E-bay for next to nothing, and a cartidge cost a more than an inkjet, but lasts into the years mark, in the long run, it is a whole lot cheaper than replacing your cartridges in your inkjet at the cost of a new printer, every month or so.

 

My son works for a place called Cartridge World. They have stores located through-out the area and specialize in recycling cartridges. Cheap alternative to buying from the vendor and gives you a brick and mortar place to visit instead of ordering off the Internet.

I wouldn't bother to refill the inkjet carts. It's one of those things that just doesn't work that well and is messy and frustrating at best. At worst, it's messy AND a huge waste of money.

 

use anything but ink jet. I use a phaser color make by zerox for color prints and advertising. Great In house printing. better then kinko or the like because it is based on solid ink. I use an 8500 dx The pages are magazine quality and all the graphics are raised and touchy felly like awsum. And much cheaper for prints.

 

I would strongly recommend buying a newer, much faster printer for $60-75.

 

At my work we've had a lot of problems with refilled cartridges not working right. I don't think they're very reliable at all.

 

If you don't need color, I would suggest a monochrome laser printer. I did the inkjet thing for way too long, and it was expensive replacing all those cartridges that would then jam or fail, meaning that I had to replace all of the cartridges at the same time. When I looked at my usage, 99.5 percent was to print documents. I didn't need color.

So I dropped less than $100 at Costco for a HP monochrome laser. I've used it for over two years now, and I'm still using the original cartridge or whatever that thing is called in a laser. No fuss, no muss, and the few times I've wanted to print pix, it did a good job in B&W. The replacement cartridge costs about as much as did the cartridges I needed for my inkjet.

 

I have used refilled cartridges from one of the brick and mortar places. The quality of the ink was poor, particularly colored inks and worst of all it clogged my printer nozzels if I didn't print every day or two.
It was a lot more trouble than it was worth.

You should just get a newer printer. Sadly, with so many businesses either downsizing or going under the market is flooded with barely used office equipment.
Think laser printer.
