Lamson LP Fly Reel Clutch Repair?

So I have this appreciation for the old Lamson LP fly reels. I have three of them and this last week I had my LP 3 clutch fail. The spool is free spinning with no one way drag on the out feed. I happened to have a LP 2 along with me and luckily the clutch system is interchangeable. Problem solved but now I have three reels and only two working one way clutch discs. I figure I have nothing to loose to try to make the failed one work so I'm thinking of soaking it in PB Blaster or mineral spirts to see if I can revive the little gizmo. But before I start to try unknow cures does anyone have any experience reviving these little things? It has no outside damage and it worked fine not long ago test casting rod on a grass field.

Thanks

I got a very informative and quick response to my inquiry from Sean at Waterworks-Lamson,

Hello Mike,

The LP's were actually built by Sage when they owned Lamson, and unfortunately we do not have any parts or much knowledge of them. However, there is a gentleman who runs a reel repair and manufacturing business who is a wizard at fixing them, and can often help out with parts. I suggest you give him a call:

Bill Archuleta of Archuleta's Reel Works

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best regards,
