Magazines are an easy excuse to drop a few bucks and support your local shop even when you don't have anything else you need to buy. Barring that, buy them at your local independent newsstand (though those are getting more rare than fly shops these days).
But for those who don't have a fly shop or a newsstand to buy from, I just noticed stacks of The Drake, one of the best fly fishing magazines out there in my opinion, at both Barnes & Nobel and Fred Meyers this evening. Even with the recent $2 price increase (to $7), it's still money well spent.
